What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker/Order Puller| 1st Shift | 22.13hr position at Mission Foods?
To maintain the control and distribution of all products produced at Olympic Foodservice and Retail for proper and accurate completion of all orders.
These duties directly and substantially serve to achieve the purpose of the position. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct all work process in a safe manner, always taking in consideration safety policies.
- Assist in maintaining all the forklifts and any other material handling equipment for departmental use.
- Qualified to operate all equipment assigned to Shipping Department, Forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.
- Must be knowledgeable in mathematics and able to read and understand the English language.
- Understands the appropriate requirements in the use of code dates and product rotation, by code dates.
- Insure that all procedures and work instructions are followed, to maintain product specifications in food safety to all customers.
- Assist all customers in the completion of their orders; assistance will be given to this accomplishment by all supervisors and leads.
- Insure that employees assist in maintaining all company policies.
- Verify that all assigned shift inventories are accurate and correct. Must verify with on-coming shift that all available inventories are balanced.
- Some knowledge in SAP system warehouse operations. Like reports and screens utilized on the process.
- Able to do the physical inventory from all products and assist the supervisors for any discrepancy encountered.
- Able to reconcile product receipts versus production tags.
- Receive and or ship orders through deliveries or invoices and other paperwork that may be utilized in the warehouse.
- Able to communicate and to notify the supervisors and or management for any problem that may occur during daily operation.
- Assist all daily shipping duties different from others mentioned.
- Maintain records for all transactions made through the warehouse operation.
- Always maintain the work area clean, organized and neat.
Education & Experience
- HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 3 months of experience in similar position in a food warehousing, manufacturing plant and/or distribution process.
Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- Forklift Certified
- Math Skills
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel)
- SAP Knowledge preferred
