We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Asset Protection Specialist to support fraud prevention and investigation efforts. In this role, you’ll assist with fraud and forgery cases, analyze reports for early detection, and work closely with members, staff, and law enforcement to resolve issues and prevent losses.

Base Pay/Salary: $24.00 - $30.00 an hour
Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

- Monitor and review fraud detection reports to identify suspicious activity and mitigate risk.
- Investigate and process fraud, alteration, and forgery cases (excluding ATM/Debit/Credit Card).
- Assist members and staff with account takeover, identity theft, and lost/stolen checks.
- Prepare and submit fraud-related documentation for Zelle, ACH, check, deposit, and account takeover fraud.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and compliant resolution.
- Stay current with fraud prevention strategies and compliance requirements.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least 1 year in the financial industry or customer service; fraud handling experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Verafin, Symitar, and related systems is a plus.
