Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings, ensuring a delightful experience
- Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats according to company standards
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage customer orders with attention to detail, ensuring correct food handling, portioning, and presentation
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and give accurate change while maintaining cash handling security
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by regularly cleaning equipment, utensils, counters, and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Upsell additional items like toppings or specialty desserts to enhance sales opportunities and improve customer satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and operating kitchen equipment in a quick service environment
- Support sanitation efforts by bussing tables, managing waste disposal, and ensuring a tidy environment at all times
- Follow food safety management protocols diligently to ensure high standards of hygiene and food quality are maintained
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash register operations accurately while processing transactions efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions confidently
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory—training will be provided!
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is beneficial
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
