MCS is hiring for a Low Voltage Project Manager in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
The Low Voltage Project Manager must demonstrate expertise in overseeing low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, security systems, audiovisual equipment, and data networks. The Low Voltage Project Manager will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include:
- Developing comprehensive project plans with clients and stakeholders.
- Assembling and leading a team of technicians, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Monitoring project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation.
- Possessing a strong understanding of low voltage systems.
- Identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintaining transparent communication with clients.
- Implementing and enforcing quality control measures.
- Creating project schedules, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Coordinating with equipment suppliers and vendors.
- Overseeing testing and commissioning of low voltage systems.
Required:
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
Certification Requirements: PMP (desired)
Experience Requirements:
- 5 years of Low Voltage experience.
- 3 years of leading commercial installation teams on projects valued at $500,000 .
- 7 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $4,000,000 (preferred).
- Experience leading multiple projects (3 ) concurrently.
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems and regulations.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
