Risk Management Data Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Quality & Risk Management Director, the Risk Management Data Coordinator supports the organization's Performance Improvement and Risk Management's function by collecting, managing, organizing, ensuring the security, accuracy, integrity and consistency of the PI and Risk-related data. This role ensures data accuracy, maintains risk and other PI documentation, assists with compliance requirements, and supports PI/Risk management initiatives. The Risk Management Data coordinator works closely with Risk and PI manager and compliance teams, to enhance risk visibility and decision-making.
This position requires maintaining databases, files, identifying inconsistencies, preparing data for analysis, and supporting the PI/Risk team with data-related tasks and compliance. The main duties in this position will include gathering, recording and maintaining the Incident reports into the company's databases, and ensuring data handling processes adhere to the company's rules.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Mission Community Hospital (MCH). It is expected that the Risk Management Data Coordinator will demonstrate consistent behavior with the MCH's values and shall support the strategic plans, goals and directives of the Risk Management and Performance Improvement Plan.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects, gathers, and records Incident Reports into the company's database.
Maintain risk databases, registers, dashboards, bulletin boards, and data repositories.
Validate risk data from various internal and external sources.
Provides department clerical and administrative support.
Answers telephone, screens and direct calls to various parts of department, takes clear messages and delivers promptly, all in utmost courteous and professional manner.
Supports department staff by providing requested and required documentation accurately and in timely manner.
Assist co-workers with task assigned in a courteous and professional manner.
Copying and faxing clinicals to insurance companies as requested by Director RM/PI.
Filing as requested by the RM/PI directors.
Keeps all private information about staff or patients confidential.
Accepts constructive criticism and modifies actions accordingly.
Is generous in acknowledging a job well done.
Print out medical records and deliver promptly to requesting office when requested.
Uses appropriate judgment and decision making within the scope of his/her position through appropriate chain of command.

Minimum Skills / Experience :
Computer skilled with experience using Microsoft Office software at an intermediate level.
Understanding of risk management and performance improvement principles.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to handle service data and maintain confidentiality.
Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education, Licensure, Certifications:
High school diploma REQUIRED
Degree from a 4-year University PREFERRED
Fire Card REQUIRED (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
