Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and seating areas to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Engage with customers to take orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing the cash register.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of our customers.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient operations during peak hours while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on coffee trends and menu offerings to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
- Must be available to work Saturdays; 7am to 2 pm
- Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage recipes.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for this role.
