Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Automotive Service Writer to act as the vital link between our customers and our service technicians. The ideal candidate will have a customer-first approach, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of automotive maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Listen to customer concerns and gather accurate information on vehicle issues.
- Provide cost estimates and explain services clearly to customers.
- Schedule appointments and manage service workflow efficiently.
- Act as a liaison between customers and service technicians.
- Ensure all service paperwork and documentation is completed accurately.
- Follow up with customers regarding status updates, completed work, and additional maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, supporting overall shop efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or in a similar customer service role is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair terminology.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with computers and customer management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive training or certifications are a plus.
