Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to identify their unique needs and goals.
- Develop detailed care plans that incorporate evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to promote recovery and independence.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility tasks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions across care settings.
- Work with diverse populations such as children with autism or developmental delays, geriatrics, individuals in acute care or ICU settings, and those requiring post-acute or skilled nursing facility care.
- Implement therapy interventions in various environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, home health visits, or skilled nursing facilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, care plans, and case management records while adhering to medical terminology and anatomy knowledge standards.
Skills
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and discharge planning across multiple settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home health.
- Proven ability working with people with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and providing early intervention services.
- Skilled in case management to coordinate comprehensive care plans for diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles applicable to workplace injury prevention and rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with speech therapy concepts when collaborating on multidisciplinary treatment plans.
- Ability to work effectively in acute care environments such as ICU or hospital wards and skilled nursing facilities.
