Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Operations Manager to support daily plant operations. This is a working leadership role — you will oversee washing, processing, and dry-cleaning operations while also working alongside the team on the production floor.
You will help ensure production goals are met, quality standards are maintained, and deliveries are completed efficiently. On certain days, you may also oversee drivers and assist with route coordination.
This position requires flexibility with start times and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily washing, processing, and dry-cleaning operations
- Work alongside processors and production staff to ensure workflow efficiency
- Monitor productivity, quality control, and turnaround times
- Train and support production employees
- Help schedule staff and adjust workflow based on volume
- Oversee drivers when needed and assist with route coordination
- Ensure safety standards and company procedures are followed
- Troubleshoot operational issues in real-time
- Maintain a clean, organized production environment
Requirements
- Bilingual (English & Spanish required)
- Valid driver’s license
- 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced production setting
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability (varied start times)
Preferred Experience
- Industrial or commercial laundry experience
- Experience with high-volume production operations
- Experience managing drivers or delivery routes
- Knowledge of dry-cleaning processes
Schedule Details
- 6 days per week
- Saturdays off
- Start times vary depending on production needs
- Must be dependable and punctual
