Responsibilities
- Plan and execute age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children in various age groups.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, toileting, and hygiene practices with patience and professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise.
- Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children and promote respectful classroom conduct.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and incident reports as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus. or willing to get one.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while creating a warm and inclusive environment.
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers through nannying or babysitting roles is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage positively with children’s families.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting infants or toddlers and maintaining active supervision throughout the day.
