Cleaning Assistant

Join our dynamic team as a Cleaning Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. Your dedication will directly contribute to the comfort and safety of individual homes, making a positive impact twice a week (Tuesday and Thursdays) for 8 hours a day. Responsibilities can include:

• Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces, utilizing appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Handle laundry services for linens or uniforms as required, maintaining proper sanitation protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, including sanitation schedules and equipment maintenance logs.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of cleaning supplies or equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Follow infection control procedures diligently to prevent contamination

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Preference for English and or Spanish speakers.
• Must be 18
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff when needed.
• Must live in the Manhasset area or less than 3 miles away; transportation and equipment will be provided to the hired individual. Outside applications will NOT be considered for individuals who desire transportation but applicants who can provide their own outside Manhasset will be considered.
• Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly; more days will be offered if hired after 3 or so months

Benefits (workers comp, Social Security, and Medicare) will be provided once contracted and the overtime rate is $30/hr. Responsibilities are subject to change and the above should not be taken as the contract itself.
