Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for toddlers, fostering their developmental growth through structured activities and individualized attention. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to supporting young children's learning experiences using the Creative Curriculum approach.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the Creative Curriculum to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers.
- Supervise and guide assistant teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective classroom environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children and their families, maintaining open communication about each child's progress and needs.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess children's developmental milestones, documenting progress and adjusting activities accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Lead classroom activities that promote social skills, independence, and curiosity among toddlers.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- At least a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Prior experience working with toddlers in an educational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of the Creative Curriculum or similar developmentally appropriate curricula.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Ability to create a warm, welcoming, and structured classroom environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to guide assistant teachers and support staff effectively.
