Busser / FOH Support

Position Summary

The Busser / Front of House Support team member plays an important role in creating a clean, organized, efficient, and welcoming dining environment. This position supports servers, bartenders, hosts, and other restaurant team members by maintaining dining areas, clearing and resetting tables, assisting with guest needs, and helping ensure smooth front of house operations throughout each shift.

The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, team oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced restaurant environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Promptly clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables according to restaurant standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, entry areas, and other front of house spaces.

• Remove used dishes, glassware, utensils, and other items from tables and transport them to designated areas.

• Reset tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, napkins, menus, condiments, and other required items.

• Assist servers and other front of house team members with maintaining an efficient flow of service.

• Refill water and assist with other basic guest needs as directed.

• Support food running and delivery of items to guests when needed and properly trained.

• Stock and replenish service stations and front of house supplies throughout the shift.

• Monitor dining areas for cleanliness, spills, debris, or other conditions requiring attention and respond promptly.

• Assist with opening, closing, and shift change responsibilities.

• Communicate effectively with servers, hosts, bartenders, managers, culinary team members, and other employees.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company policies and procedures.

• Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests and team members.

• Assist with additional front of house operational duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment.

• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.

• Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a sense of urgency during service.

• Ability to follow instructions and established restaurant procedures.

• Must meet all applicable age and work authorization requirements.

Success in this role requires anticipating operational needs, supporting fellow team members, and consistently contributing to an efficient guest experience.


Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift. Team members must be able to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull items associated with restaurant operations and safely transport dishes, glassware, supplies, and other materials. The position may require lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.

Scheduling Requirements

Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak restaurant periods.
