Tote Washer

Position Summary

The Tote Washer (Outdoor) is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing reusable totes used in operations. This position works outdoors in a designated washing area, ensuring that all totes meet cleanliness and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and rinse totes using pressure washers, hoses, and cleaning agents.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure totes are free from debris, contamination, or damage.
• Stack and organize cleaned totes in designated outdoor storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the outdoor washing area.
• Follow all company sanitation and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
• Monitor chemical levels and notify supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
• Report damaged totes or malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have strong teamwork and communication skills and maintain consistent reliability and punctual attendance.
• Must have strong reading and writing skills to understand and complete work-related documents and communications.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions.
• Prior experience in sanitation or similar outdoor labor role is a plus.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Comfortable working with water, pressure washers, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical and Skill requirements

• Perform repetitive motions throughout shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously throughout the shift.
• Flexibility to work 6 consecutive days, overtime and weekends if necessary.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Ability to manage time effectively and stay on task with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in wet and noisy environments.
• Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
