Production Lead ( Relocation to Yuma, AZ Required)

Position Title: Production Lead – Wash & Trim

Reports To: Wash & Trim Production Supervisor

Position Summary

This role is based in Gonzales, CA and will require relocation to Yuma, AZ, seasonally. Production Lead should have good knowledge of Food Processing and Food Safety programs. Should also have good understanding of HACCP and critical control points. Must assist in the use and control of raw inventory to insure quality. Must have the ability to evaluate process flow and make recommendations to improve process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Leads production frontline staff

· Daily walk through to confirm plant operations, set points, water source and temperatures in cold rooms

· Establish and maintain production flow at line speeds that are in line with cost model

· Audit production speeds and quality & able to adjust as needed

· Establish schedules and communicate with maintenance crews for coverage

· Daily review of raw inventory to insure FIFO

· Making sure to accomplish daily ETA’s for products needed to cover orders

· Work with loading dock to provide production to them as needed to load trucks as they arrive for appointments

· Evaluate process flow and make recommendations for process improvements

· Must relocate to Yuma, AZ and Gonzales, CA dependent on business needs

· Other duties are required

Qualifications

- Able to direct employees

- Basic knowledge of food processing

- Excellent communication and people skills

- Bilingual English – Spanish

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel a plus

· One year experience in similar industry

· High School diploma
