POSITION SUMMARY:
The (Part-time ) Outpatient Clinical Child Therapist Position is responsible for providing Mental Health Services to clients remotely through video conferencing, adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining client confidentiality within a virtual setting. This position also includes coordination of care with families, schools, DHHS/foster care, and other community agencies. The person in this position may perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, psychological testing and evaluations based on individual child and family needs.
- Conduct via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform, comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
- Formulate and coordinate person-centered treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices
- Responsible for meeting direct service productivity and documentation standards per agency and program expectations
- Collaboration and participation with treatment team, community partners, and other natural supports as identified by the family
- Participate in case conferences and staff meetings
- Initiate referrals for psychiatric evaluations when deemed clinically appropriate
- Act as liaison between the child/family and their natural support system, primary care physicians, and other community agencies identified by the family
- Assist families with referral, linking, and coordination to community resources, and provide education on how to access and utilize supports independently
- Assist families with accessing and utilizing community supports
- Prepare reports for other agencies, DHHS, courts, schools, etc.
- Obtain and maintain CAFAS rater-reliability and conduct quarterly CAFAS assessments
- Maintain timely and accurate client records to ensure they meet DWMHA, CARF, and agency standards
- Must meet agency productivity/performance standards
- Adhere to all requirements/standards of the Behavioral Health Telehealth Agreement
- Must adhere to agency policies and procedures
- Participate in in-service planning and programming
- Other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited school

Minimum of one year of clinical experience serving individuals with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, or significant emotional/behavioral challenges

Experience using electronic medical records

Valid professional license in the State of Michigan (LMSW, LLMSW, LP, LLP); limited licensure accepted, full licensure preferred

Strong skills in crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and therapeutic treatment

Ability to attend in-person trainings at the office as needed

Applicants must reside locally, as periodic onsite training may be required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- 20 hours per week
- Evening Shift Monday - Friday (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
- Services will be provided remotely via HIPPA compliant telehealth platform
COMPENSATION:

Starting hourly wage: $30 and up (Part-Time, Union), based on experience.
