Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Subcontractor/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting various phases of construction projects, utilizing a broad range of skills including electrical, carpentry, masonry, and plumbing. The ideal candidate will have experience working on residential homes and possess a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects such as remodeling, restoration, new builds, and specialized installations.
Duties
- Assist with construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, roofing, flooring, tile laying, and concrete finishing.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various construction activities.
- Support plumbing, electrical work, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and glass or cabinet installation as needed.
- Handle fabrication tasks such as concrete forming or custom carpentry projects like trim carpentry and door hanging.
- Operate heavy equipment in accordance with safety protocols for site preparation and material handling.
- Assist with masonry work including bricklaying and stonework; perform demolition or restoration tasks when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or concrete finishing.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and heavy equipment safely.
- Experience with construction estimating and inspection is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, or restoration techniques is desirable.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site travel; reliable transportation required.
