Adjunct Faculty Positions – Chemistry and Biochemistry
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Misericordia University invites applications for part-time faculty positions to teach undergraduate chemistry lecture and lab courses beginning in fall 2026 semester.
We seek qualified instructors for the following courses:
CHM 120 - The Body’s Chemistry in Health and Disease - Introductory Chemistry for Nursing Students
CHM 104/104 L - General Chemistry I - General, Organic, and Biochemistry (lecture and laboratory)
CHM 133 L - Chemical Principles ( laboratory)
Courses may be offered during daytime and/or evening hours and remotely depending on departmental and student needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry or closely related field
Demonstrated content knowledge in assigned teaching areas
Preferred Qualifications
Collegiate teaching experience (lecture and/or lab)
Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard) and technology‑enhanced instruction
Instructors for laboratory courses will be required to implement the syllabus, experiments, laboratory activities, assessments, and/or grading standards provided by the Lab Coordinator or Department Chair.
