Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations based on guest preferences
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling procedures, and restaurant sanitation guidelines at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Demonstrated culinary experience or understanding of food preparation and presentation techniques
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy shifts
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and managing tabs effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving guests in a fast-paced environment such as a nightclub or fine dining restaurant is advantageous
