Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough physical examinations and develop accurate diagnoses for companion animals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for medical, surgical, and preventive care cases
- Perform routine surgical procedures with precision and care
- Interpret diagnostic results including lab work, radiographs, and other imaging
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive health
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with practice standards
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active veterinary license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience in small animal medicine and surgery preferred
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and client relations abilities
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and professional demeanor
- DEA license or ability to obtain one
