What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer position at Mirra Construction?
The Construction Laborer position at Mirra will work with experienced employees setting up work sites, supporting confined space entries, performing normal trench work duties, maintaining and using hand/power tools, a wide variety of materials, and learning additional skills to support other crew members. Laborers will assist team members performing technical civil construction operations to ensure the best quality of work and safety of the entire crew. All new hires will undergo skills and safety training to support them in the field.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting team members on site for daily work activities
- Participating in project planning, job site safety analysis and pre task planning
- Monitoring the safety of the site and keeping it free of unnecessary hazards
- Using common power and hand tools including jackhammer, compactors, shovels, rakes and demo saws
- Lifting objects up to 50 lbs
- Maintaining a safe working environment
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Mass CORI check
- OSHA 10 certification in construction
This is a fulltime position. Pay is an hourly rate based on experience and skill level.
