REPORTS TO: Small Tool, Vehicle or Equipment Maintenance Manager
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None
TRAVEL REQUIRED: 5%
WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift
POSITION SUMMARY
The mechanic will be responsible for inspection, diagnosis, repair, and service of construction equipment, diesel trucks, and vehicles and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Inspects, diagnoses, and services company equipment and vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
- Examines equipment and oversees diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Two years of experience in a similar role and trade certification is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical one-line diagrams with an ability to read and understand their diagrams.
- Capable of taking direction and working in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to problem solve.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily a mechanic shop environment.

Over 2/3 of your time will be spent using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
