  • A House Person at Mirbeau supports the Housekeeping Department by maintaining flawless guest rooms and shared spaces with detailed focus and mindful efficiency. This role focuses on delivering linens, removing waste from guest rooms, keeping public areas well-kept, and promptly responding to requests from the team via radio or cell phone. The House Person is essential in creating thoughtfully prepared spaces that uphold the resort’s elevated standards, fostering a welcoming, refined atmosphere where every detail reflects Mirbeau’s renowned hospitality and Forbes-rated excellence.

  • Pay Rate: $17.00 -20.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 9am to 4pm

  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Housekeeping
      • Remove soiled linens, trash, room service trays, and glassware from guest rooms and carts, disposing of items in proper areas.
      • Deliver clean linens and guest room supplies to housekeeping closets and guest rooms.
      • Prepare rollaway beds or cribs and place in rooms or storage as needed.
      • Maintain organized inventory in housekeeping storage areas; report supply shortages to management.
      • Keep carts, closets, and service bins neat, orderly, and out of guests’ way.
      • Ensure all keys, equipment, and supplies are handled appropriately and returned to their designated areas after use.
      • Follow all Housekeeping Department guidelines and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
    • Public Areas & Facilities
      • Vacuum, shampoo, and spot clean carpets in public areas as needed.
      • Wax and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces as directed.
      • Maintain cleanliness of elevators, including polishing stainless steel surfaces and vacuuming.
      • Assist with furniture moving and mattress rotation when required.
      • Clean stairwells, patios, and entryways; assist with snow and leaf removal when necessary.
      • Collect garbage from offices and public areas and vacuum where appropriate, maintaining overall cleanliness
      • Use only approved cleaning products issued by the department.
      • Complete daily task lists and required paperwork as directed by Housekeeping Management.
      • Maintain all tools and equipment in clean, safe, working condition.
      • Report any safety hazards, unusual room conditions, or maintenance needs to management immediately.
      • Support outdoor upkeep as needed, including stairwells, patios, and occasional snow or leaf removal.
    • Service & Communication
      • Greet and interact with guests in a warm, professional manner, using Mirbeau and Forbes-approved language and service standards.
      • Provide discreet, courteous service while respecting guest privacy and comfort.
      • Respond to guest requests and concerns with urgency, professionalism, and follow-through
      • Check guest rooms for forgotten personal items and promptly turn them in to Lost and Found.
      • Carry a fully charged radio or phone during shifts for quick communication with team members.
      • Adapt to changing priorities with professionalism, flexibility, and focus, supporting other departments as needed.
    • Operations & Professionalism
      • Maintain a clean, professional appearance in accordance with Mirbeau’s grooming and hygiene standards.
      • Collaborate with fellow team members and other departments to maintain the pace, flow, and quality of daily operations.
      • Contribute to a respectful, supportive, team-oriented work environment.
      • Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as required
      • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

  • Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements:
    • Experience & Skills
      • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, or similar environment preferred
      • Strong multitasking and time management skills
      • Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
      • Effective verbal communication skills; ability to understand and speak English required
    • Professionalism & Personal Attributes
      • Ability to learn job duties during a short training period and follow directions efficiently
      • Adaptable and flexible with shifting priorities and tasks
      • Dependable, punctual, and well-organized
      • Maintains a neat, well-groomed, and professional appearance in accordance with Forbes and Mirbeau grooming standards at all times
      • Demonstrates a pleasant, polite demeanor and consistently positive attitude
      • Shows attention to detail and pride in work quality
      • Displays professionalism when interacting with guests and team members
      • Demonstrates initiative and takes direction well
      • Respectful, courteous, and composed in guest and team interactions
      • Values cleanliness, order, and creating a welcoming environment behind the scenes
    • Physical Requirements
      • Must be in good physical health, able to stand and walk for extended periods
      • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
      • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and adapting to a physically active role
