Weekends Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am - 12:00 pm. Weekdays as needed.
The Pharmacy Technician prepares, packages, labels, and distributes medications under the supervision of the Pharmacist. Responsible for maintaining inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, and delivering medication to hospital units. Assists in the maintenance of relevant patient files within the Electronic Health Record. Complies with state and federal pharmacy regulations as well as hospital policies to ensure quality of pharmacy services.
Successful Pharmacy Technicians will have the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy is required.
- National certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) strongly preferred.
Additional qualifications:
- Experience with automated dispensing machines (ex. Pyxis, Omnicell) strongly preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record
Pay Range:
Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience.
$19.50 - $22.00
