Qualifications
Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager for Yoga, Fitness & Meditation the Yoga and Meditation Instructor is responsible for instructing various levels and styles of hatha yoga classes and related mindfulness and meditation offerings. This person will also teach one-on-one sessions of yoga, mindfulness and meditation and participate fully in the functioning of the Integrative Wellbeing department and the resort.

Qualifications
Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager for Yoga, Fitness & Meditation the Yoga and Meditation Instructor is responsible for instructing various levels and styles of hatha yoga classes and related mindfulness and meditation offerings. This person will also teach one-on-one sessions of yoga, mindfulness and meditation and participate fully in the functioning of the Integrative Wellbeing department and the resort.
- Minimal 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification, 500 hours preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Miraval Philosophy and Mindfulness Applications preferred.
- 2 years prior teaching experience preferred as well as experience with educational programming and personal holistic practice
- Aerial Yoga experience preferred
- Facilitation and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented, creative, and flexible
- Serve as enthusiastic leader of guest facing programs for leisure guests and social and corporate groups with guests of varying abilities and deliver a quality experience for all
- Serve as leader among peers
- Receive performance feedback and adjust appropriately
- Communicate effectively and professionally and work as a team player including changing aerial silks
- Take direction from leadership and execute appropriate action
- Provide feedback with professionalism
- Excellent presentation and teaching skills
- Agility to pivot to changing needs of operations
- Availability to work weekends and holidays, required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to exercise mature control over group programs.
- Must be sensitive to the personalities, moods, and abilities of individuals and groups and be able to function in a supportive role while guiding them to reach their full potentials.
- Make decisions in the best interest of the guests, their safety (physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually) and must be made within the guidelines of department standard operating procedures and Miraval policies and procedures.
