- Provides real‑time operational oversight so the Security Manager can focus on long‑term planning, compliance, and departmental development.
- Serves as the Manager’s representative during interactions with guests, employees, and other departments, ensuring consistent leadership presence even when the Manager is not on property.

- Making operational decisions within established guidelines.
- Coordinating with resort leadership to maintain seamless communication.
- Managing emergency responses with full authority to act according to protocol.

- Ensures strict adherence to all policies created and implemented by the Security Manager.
- Coaches staff on proper procedures and corrects deviations immediately.
- Documents incidents and escalates issues that require the Manager’s attention.
- Supports disciplinary processes by providing accurate, detailed reporting.
Taking Ownership of Training and Team Development
- Implements the Security Manager’s training program through hands‑on instruction and monthly training topics.
- Identifies skill gaps and communicates them to the Security Manager for further development planning.
- Ensures all staff remain compliant with resort safety expectations and legal requirements.
Playing a Hands-On Role in the Resort’s Safety Committee
The Security Lead is a key operational contributor to the resort’s Safety Committee, directly supporting the Security Manager by:
- Conducting safety inspections and reporting findings for committee review.
- Participating in safety meetings and presenting incident trends and recommendations.
- Assisting with drills and emergency preparedness initiatives across the property.
- Ensuring follow‑through on safety action items assigned to the Security Department.
Expanding the Security Manager’s Capacity
By taking ownership of daily operations, the Security Lead enables the Security Manager to:
- Focus on strategic planning and long‑term improvements.
- Strengthen relationships with local authorities and external partners.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and compliance without being pulled away by routine tasks.
- Lead resort‑wide safety and security initiatives with full support from a reliable second‑in‑command.

Qualifications

- 1-3 years of hotel security experience preferred
