Miraval Buffet Attendants are an essential member of the Food & Beverage department. This individual maintains the service standard of the restaurant breakfast and lunch buffets, ensuring that all guest experiences exceed expectation. Buffet Attendants provide support to the F&B & Culinary teams so that all guests are provided with the highest level of service. Buffet attendants should be proactive, high energy, detailed oriented, and aware of basic foodservice safety standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure that the buffet area, including table surfaces, shelving, and floors are clean and free of debris before and after service.
- Ensure that all buffet stations are set to standard and on time, utilizing the training aids provided.
- Setting, maintaining, and storing all buffet identifiers and any other signage provided.
- Stocking shelves with clean, dry plates and bowls.
- Setting the buffet with all food items and appropriate service ware.
- Stocking buffet items during service including making calls to the hot line for backup refills.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the buffet and the surrounding floor space.
- Breaking down the buffet at end of service; ensuring that equipment is cleaned and properly stored.
- Prepping any buffet items necessary for the following service alongside the culinary team.
- During down time, working with the culinary team to assist in cold prep.
- Ensuring that used kitchen spaces including the garde manger station and the walk-in cooler are clean, organized, and all food products are properly labeled and stored.
- Practice basic food service hygiene.

Qualifications
- Ability to work extended hours on your feet
- Ability to carry up to 25lbs at one time
- Interpersonal skills for genuine, fluid communication with guests and staff
- Knowledge of food safety a plus
- Availability must include weekends
