We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Front Office Coordinator / Receptionist to join our practice. The Front Office Coordinator is the first point of contact for clients, prospective clients, and visitors at Miranda Family Law Firm. This role carries the significant responsibility of the first impression. We are looking for someone who brings warmth, professionalism, and patience to every interaction. The right candidate is genuinely people-oriented. They enjoy talking with people, they listen well, and they stay composed under pressure. Family law clients are often navigating some of the most stressful seasons of their lives. The person in this role must be patient, emotionally intelligent, and able to communicate with both clarity and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendar
- Conduct conflict checks and assist with client intake processes
- Respond promptly to voicemails and email inquiries
- Greet and assist clients, ensuring a positive front-office experience
- Perform administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and filing
- Track and follow up on service of documents
- Assist with preparation of legal documents as requested
- Maintain and organize case files and document management systems
Qualifications / Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to manage and maintain confidential legal information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional office preferred, but not required
What We’re Looking For
- A reliable, proactive team player that adds support to the attorney and legal staff
- Someone who is comfortable interacting with clients in person and over the phone
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced setting
- Ideally full-time (40 hours/week); however, we will consider candidates available for at least 32 hours per week.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
