Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective math instruction for grades 6–8 (including concepts such as number sense, ratios, expressions, equations, geometry, statistics, and pre-algebra)
- Align lesson plans with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards and district pacing guides
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance instruction
- Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments
- Analyze assessment data to guide instruction and improve student achievement
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
- Establish a positive classroom culture that supports behavior expectations and student engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
- Support school-wide initiatives and comply with BCPS policies and procedures

- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required)
- Valid Florida Educator Certification in Middle Grades Mathematics (Grades 5–9) or eligibility for certification
- Knowledge of Florida math standards and instructional best practices
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families

- Master's degree in Education or Mathematics
- Experience teaching middle school math
