Job Summary
Miraje Reconstruction is a specialty commercial general contractor seeking candidates for an entry level position as Junior Construction Project Coordinator. This position is designed for individuals desiring to learn the commercial construction business; and as a path for growth as an assistant project manager and estimator. We are interested in individuals who have a genuine interest in commercial construction, more than those with extensive experience. This person would work under the tutelage of two to three seasoned project managers / estimators in a support role. It is primarily an office position with project site visits as needed.
Skills to have or learn for this position include:
Software programs include Procore, Microsoft Office, Sage 100, Bluebeam,
Zero to two years of experience in construction related activities
Minimum two-year technical degree in construction or architectural curriculum
Strong organizational and communication skills are a must
Specific focus on understanding of masonry, concrete, waterproofing, and related trades
Materials submittal and approval process
Requests for information (RFI’s) process
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
Material and equipment ordering from project estimates
Understanding of product data sheets and safety data sheets
Understanding of OSHA and becoming OSHA 30 certified immediately after hire.
Subcontractor contract writing and scope of work descriptions
Applications for payment process and development of schedule of values
Project Scheduling and preconstruction administrative processes
Attend project meetings and follow through on agenda items
Coordination between field personnel and management personnel
Compensation:
Beginning salary ranges from $40K to $50k depending on experience
Medical benefits are paid 80% by the employer and 20% by employee
401K with employer match up to 4% of salary
Company cell phone provided or allowance for use of personal phone
Car allowance and gas card for use of personal vehicle for company business
Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance paid by company
Vision and dental insurance is available but paid by the employee.
End of year profit sharing depending on company profitability at owner discretion.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
