What are the responsibilities and job description for the ETF Portfolio Trader position at Mirae Asset Securities (USA) Inc.?
As a member of the ETF team, the ETF Associate is involved in the support of all aspects of Mirae’s ETF authorized participant (AP) trading, creation, redemption and settlements functionality as well as ETF issuer portfolio rebalancing. The Associate will also work on special projects as assigned and assist on other matters relating to the business as requested.
The member will also assist and facilitate agency trading execution needs related to the ETF desk clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in the ETF issuer relationships, ETF product structures, maintaining rebalance calendars, trade desk functionality and capabilities:
- ETF Issuer Business
- Establish relationships with ETF issuer capital markets and PM teams
- Determine ETF issuer needs (seed capital, rebalance capital, market making)
- Work with ETF issuer relationships to provide TCA trade analysis on upcoming rebalances
- Determine capital and settlement needs related to an ETF rebalance
- Prepare necessary information for credit committee approval for ETF rebalance needs
- Maintain agency execution needs for ETF execution clients
- Work with data retention team to ensure all relevant ETF data is being collected and stored
- Assist with quarterly ETF AP and counterparty review
- Work with developers to enhance our front-end trading functionality and efficiency

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 1-2 years of related work experience preferred, preferably in trading and operations
- Comprehension of ETF Portfolio Trading, ETF pricing and NAV calculations, creation/redemption functionality and index rebalance events.
