Position Summary
The Industrial Hygienist provides expert environmental, health, and safety (EHS) support by conducting inspections, assessments, and investigations across multiple facilities. This role serves as a technical authority in industrial hygiene while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct IH inspections and assessments (asbestos, lead, mold, radon, water, indoor air quality)
- Collect and analyze samples, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
- Support project management through scopes of work, cost estimates, and procurement support
- Review abatement and remediation plans for compliance and accuracy
- Provide IH guidance for construction and facility projects
- Respond to health and safety incidents and provide technical support
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance
- Deliver training and technical guidance to facility and project teams
- Maintain certifications and ensure alignment with industry standards
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
- 8 years of industrial hygiene experience
- Knowledge of IH sampling methods and environmental health assessments
- Strong communication skills with ability to present to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF tools
- Required certifications: Asbestos Inspector, Air Monitoring Specialist, Lead Inspector
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER with annual refresher
- Medical clearance for respiratory protection
