Position Summary
The Senior Construction Project Manager is the lead professional responsible for overseeing all construction efforts at a large, complex project site. Operating with limited supervision and broad direction, this individual independently applies advanced project management and technical expertise to challenging assignments. This role is viewed as a fully competent, highly experienced leader capable of managing major commercial or Government construction projects exceeding $50M.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead all construction activities at a large project site, ensuring quality, safety, and contract compliance.
- Provide day to day project management for construction and service projects, including customer coordination, schedule review, and design review.
- Support the COR by performing all project management tasks and maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Develop solutions to construction challenges or unforeseen field conditions.
- Review contractor submittals for accuracy and conformance with contract requirements.
- Provide oversight of construction related activities for assigned contracts.
- Assist the CO and COR throughout all acquisition phases, including responding to offeror questions, attending site orientation visits, and participating in joint contractor/government meetings.
- Draft technical responses to change orders and support negotiation preparation.
- Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) and cost estimates for new contracts and contract modifications.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- US Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field; equivalent combination of technical training and experience considered.
- Minimum 20 years of project management experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing construction projects valued at over $50M.
- PMP or other project management certification preferred.
- Proven ability to manage complex construction efforts with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.

Salary : $80,000 - $225,000
