We are Looking to hire multiple facilitators to run group sessions at Miracles Recovery Center!
Hours needed:
Wednesday 9:30am-12:30pm (Male candidate required for this shift as it is a male gender group)
Thursday 6pm-9pm
Friday: 9:30am- 12:30pm
Saturday: 930am-12:30pm and 1pm-2:30pm
Job Summary
The Group Facilitator plays a vital role in guiding and supporting individuals in group settings, particularly those finding freedom from substance use and mental health management. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can foster an inclusive environment, promote personal growth, and facilitate meaningful discussions. The Group Facilitator will utilize their expertise to implement therapeutic techniques and interventions that enhance the well-being of participants.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate group sessions focused on mental health, personal development, and coping strategies for chemical dependancy.
- Create a safe and supportive atmosphere for participants to share their experiences and challenges.
- Employ crisis intervention techniques as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of all group members.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote interaction, learning, and personal growth.
- Monitor group dynamics and provide individual support as necessary to address specific needs.
- Maintain accurate notes of group attendance, participation, and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support for participants.
- Demonstrates knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions and utilizes knowledge and skills to access and meet the client’s treatment needs and requirements.
Skills
- Strong background and or experience with working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse or mental health diagnosis.
- Proficient in crisis intervention strategies to effectively manage challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate discussions effectively.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to promoting the well-being of all participants.
Requirements:
- Associates or certification (CAP, CRPS, CAC) minimum educational requirement
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Ability to complete appropriate clinical documentation of group sessions (Notes).
This role requires dedication to fostering an environment where individuals feel valued, heard, and empowered on their journey toward recovery from subtance abuse.
