What are the responsibilities and job description for the I/DD Companion position at Miracles in Motion, Inc.?
Companion services for a gentleman seeking community activities and discovering the areas of the the city where there are free or minimal cost activities. This gentleman is interested in learning about the city and all the options that are available, that might even lead to employment in areas he has not even thought of yet.
Documentation training will be provided, as well as any other mandated trainings.
This is a Medicaid Waiver program and as such must follow all the rules and regulations of the APD Home and Community Based Waiver Handbook.
Companion services cannot be received in the home of the provider or in the
home of a relative or friend of the provider.
Companion service providers are not reimbursed separately for transportation
and travel costs. These costs are integral components of companion services
and are included in the rate.
