Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive in-home care tailored to each client’s unique needs, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor clients’ health status, observe changes, and communicate updates promptly to family members.
• Administer medications and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare providers. Due to having to ride to appointments with the client.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutrition needs, respecting dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster positive social interactions and reduce feelings of isolation And help the client with major mental stability they may be experiencing.
• Follow all safety protocols and care plans meticulously to ensure the well-being of clients at all times.
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with The Family‘s plan and the agency’s and healthcare regulations.
• Changing Cather bags and emptying them as well as cleaning around it infected area 2-3xs daily
• Range of motion exercises to get the clients body circulation and more stability for at the minimum an hour a day in 10-15 mins increments
• Attending appointments during your scheduled shifts and also staying over if needed
• And being sure clients are rotated every 1/2hr but no longer than 2hrs

Qualifications

• Prior experience working as an In Home Caregiver or in related settings such as hospitals, clinics, or post-acute care environments is highly recomended
• Demonstrated knowledge of geriatrics, medical-surgical care, or outpatient services enhances your ability to meet diverse client needs. As well as knowledge on quadriplegic care.
• Experience with cather care and medication administration Preferred
• Familiarity with Level II trauma center procedures or hospital medicine can be advantageous for clients with complex health conditions Like the client I’m hiring for
• Experience supporting patients in emergency medicine scenarios or within Level I Trauma Centers adds valuable insight into acute care situations. And daily needs of the client
• Background working with Home care , sub-acute care settings, or teaching hospitals reflects versatility in handling various medical complexities.
• Ability to follow detailed care instructions and collaborate effectively with clients is essential.
• Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills ensures positive interactions with clients and their families.
• Valid background check clearance is a must, reliable transportation is preferred but not required for the client in need, But do not be afraid to apply with a record, we do not judge. Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
