Local pediatric dental group looking to hire a professional, motivated, compassionate full-time Dental Assistant for our Greensburg location.
Office hours are Mondays-Fridays 8:00am-4pm. No Evenings or Weekends
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: Starting at $16 /hr. Negotiable depending on experience
Header: Duties
- Assist the dentist and team during various pediatric dental procedures, including fillings, stainless steel crowns, and extractions, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up dental equipment and dental chairs in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Take dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Manage patient records using Open Dental electronic medical records (EMR) system; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes accurately.
- Provide patient care by explaining procedures in age-appropriate language, managing patient anxiety, and assisting with vital signs assessment.
- Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments following sterilization procedures and infection control protocols.
- Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient management software for seamless patient flow.
Header: Skills
- Proficiency with Open Dental for efficient record keeping and documentation is a preferred but not necessary.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, dental terminology, and anatomy relevant to children’s oral health is a preferred but not necessary.
- Certification and experience with dental X-ray techniques, is a preferred but not necessary.
- Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control expertise.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize procedure efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills to educate young patients about oral health practices and ease their apprehensions.
