Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles such as engine repairs (including diesel engines), transmission system repairs, suspension system repairs, wheel alignments, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to facilitate precise repairs and installations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools efficiently to complete repairs with high quality standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and document repair processes clearly for customer transparency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely vehicle turnaround while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to enhance service proficiency.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Certification as an Automotive Service Technician (e.g., ASE certification) with specific expertise in Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or Ram brands preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including powertrain, transmissions, vehicle suspension systems, electrical systems, and ADAS technology.
- Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for complex electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience working with automotive diagnostic tools and software to accurately diagnose issues.
- Mechanical aptitude complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Ability to work efficiently on Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram vehicles or similar makes is a plus; familiarity with diesel engine repair is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
