SAP FI/CO, FM, and PS SME

Description of Duties

The selected candidate will perform a variety of support functions, including:

• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems to support existing systems and assist with the implementation of new S/4HANA-based financial enterprise applications as part of an ongoing modernization project. This includes integration with other SAP modules and related systems.
• Acting as an IT point of contact and SME for Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems activities, collaborating with project teams, system integrators, and business stakeholders.
• Partnering with system integrators, internal IT, and business finance teams to provide configuration, development, testing, and other required support for financial systems.
• Learning current As-Is processes quickly to assist in mapping them to future-state processes for the modernization initiative.
• Supporting the implementation of enhanced processes and reporting capabilities.
• Developing, updating, and documenting Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems processes in both ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Supporting data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, testing, and validation activities for master and transactional data.
• Ensuring that system modifications and upgrades are thoroughly tested and properly documented.
• Assisting with reporting and analysis of financial and project systems information.
• Identifying training needs and assisting with the creation and delivery of training materials for new users, new processes, or specific S/4HANA functionality.
• Supporting issue resolution in the current ECC environment and providing assistance during cutover and post–go-live phases in S/4HANA.
• Supporting best practices in system/process change management and documentation.

Minimum Experience

• 10 years of experience configuring and supporting SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems.
• At least two full-cycle S/4HANA implementation project experiences in the relevant modules.
• Deep understanding of SAP Finance and Controlling, with strong knowledge of end-to-end business processes.
• Strong experience with SAP Project Systems in both ECC and S/4HANA.
• Experience with month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Experience participating in process discovery/design workshops to deliver SAP Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems solutions in S/4HANA.
• Thorough understanding of end-to-end business, data, and transactional processes.
• Experience developing, reviewing, and editing functional/technical design documents, test documents, and training materials.
• Understanding of financial procedures, policies, and regulations applicable to public-sector organizations.

Desired Skillset

• Experience with real-time and batch integrations between ECC/S4 and external systems.
• Experience with background job processing in ECC and S/4HANA for finance-related operations.
• Experience handling various forms of payment posting (ACH, checks, real-time digital payments).
• Experience integrating SAP systems with external systems and banks.
• Experience with integrations involving Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience working with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Experience planning and executing ECC-to-S/4HANA migrations (both brownfield and cloud-based).
• Experience developing, documenting, and reviewing test scenarios, scripts, and results, including hands-on testing in ADO.

Certifications / Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications in S/4HANA Finance, Funds Management, and Project Systems are strongly preferred.

Engagement Requirements

• Candidates must be located within the continental United States.
• The role will be primarily remote until further notice.
• When onsite presence is required, work will take place at designated facilities in Middletown, PA.
• In-person interviews, work sessions, and key project phases may require onsite attendance.
• Overtime must be pre-approved by the project leadership.
• Candidates may be required to report onsite during critical phases such as Solution Confirmation, PI cycles, SIT, UAT, Go-Live, and Hypercare.
• Any assigned equipment must be picked up in person at the Middletown, PA location (travel not reimbursed).
• Remote connectivity equipment will be provided as required and must be returned in good condition upon offboarding.
• No additional travel compensation will be provided for candidates within a 3-hour commuting distance; the rate is inclusive of travel.
• When eligible for reimbursement, travel must follow federal GSA guidelines and include required documentation.
• Vendors must ensure accurate and complete onboarding documentation and allow 5–7 business days for onboarding.
• Candidates must:
• Complete the required onboarding forms.
• Sign technology use and access agreements.
• Provide a contact number and current professional photo.
• Provide results of state and national background checks conducted after the release of the SOW.
• Sign a non-disclosure agreement if accessing systems or data.
• Virtual work expectations include:
• Using cameras during meetings.
• Maintaining a professional appearance on camera.
• Being available to reach the work location within 3 hours in case of emergencies.
• Candidates must be available onsite as needed for planned implementations or system issues, with advance notice when possible.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $117.00 - $136.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
