Job Description Role: Sales Planner, Paid Social Location: Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX THE OPPORTUNITY The Sales Planner role at MiQ is a balance of strategic thinking, efficiency, and effective communication. It calls for a motivated and outgoing self-starter who takes a proactive approach to their work and is always looking out for the best interest of their clients. We’re looking for a planner to join our growing team as our first Social Media Expert. As MiQ continues to expand our success in Programmatic into the Social Media space, this role is an essential piece of the MiQ team structure with a high level of project management involved. Communicating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are on task and meeting the needs of our clients and partners, while continuing to evolve our paid social landscape. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Sales Planner at MiQ, technical ability and industry knowledge play a large role in your day to day responsibilities. In this role you will be accountable for, but not limited to, the following: Project Management Designing strategic recommendations across programmatic and social to build the most strategic channel mix, budget allocation, and define channel role to ensure the plan delivers harmonized success Surface best practices at the strategy stage to ensure our approach to targeting, segmentation, placement allocation, and measurement strategy translate seamlessly to social activation capabilities Craft and deliver recommendations into final, client ready deliverables that clearly, and concisely showcase our strategic approach and recommendations in a timely manner and to a high quality Internal Collaboration Partner with Social, Solutions and Trading teams to customize MiQ’s social product suite and capabilities to the unique needs of our clients Working with internal stakeholders, building relationships and working across differences to find solutions Communication Clear communication to internal teammates and stakeholders; flexing communication style to influence positive outcomes Master MiQ product capabilities and stay on the latest industry trends to inform internal and external teams Innovation Strategize with Sales Leads in pre-sale periods to grow and develop existing client business and win net new business Practicing curiosity through continuous learning and research on the latest social capabilities both within MiQ and via Social knowledge resources and collateral YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of advertising technology and/or media planning experience 1 years of hands-on experience working in self-service capacity within social platforms (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc); Youtube experience is also preferred Proficiency in the capabilities with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc Knowledge and understanding of paid media, full-funnel marketing, and the advertising industry, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate expertise effectively Sound understanding of the digital programmatic ecosystem and the vendor-agency-advertiser dynamic Involvement in a high energy work environment with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines Proven ability to improve internal processes and share knowledge across internal/external stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal/external team members Ability to take abstract ideas and translate them into actionable solutions Detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize projects/tasks simultaneously and to completion Eager to learn new systems, technologies, and advertising techniques. For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in the above locations, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the above locations and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $60,000- $75,000. This range may vary for positions outside of the above locations as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures. Regardless of location, candidates can expect during the first few conversations with MiQ’s Talent team and Hiring Managers to share any approved budget and details on our competitive bonus and commission packages.
