Minutemen Staffing is recruiting for Production Supervisors to join a large manufacturing facility currently under construction in Euclid, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in launching a brand-new operation, with the plant scheduled to become fully operational in October 2026. We have two shifts available 1st and 2nd. Hours are 6:30am-4pm, and 3pm 12am. Pay is $65K-$70K range.
Job Description:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction on the manufacturing floor to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and effectively. This role oversees daily production activities, aligns operations with the production capacity plan, and ensures quality, productivity, and safety standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
• Production Leadership:
Direct and oversee shop floor activities to ensure production schedules and capacity plans are met.
Monitor workflow, prioritize tasks, and address any operational challenges to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Team Management:
Provide clear direction and guidance to shop floor employees, ensuring they understand expectations and priorities.
Lead efforts to hire, onboard, and train employees to build a skilled and effective workforce.
Address employee performance issues through coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with other departments, including planning, engineering, maintenance, and quality control, to address operational needs and resolve production challenges.
Communicate regularly with leadership to provide updates on production progress, workforce needs, and any issues impacting operations.
• Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste on the shop floor.
Monitor production metrics and drive initiatives to achieve or exceed targets.
Encourage employee involvement in problem-solving and improvement efforts.
• Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, workforce performance, and any incidents or delays.
Provide daily updates and reports to management on production status and workforce activities.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees and cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and safety regulations
