Minutemen Staffing is looking for Forklift Operators for 1st shift and mid-shift for the Grove Port area. $18
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, locate, stack, and track materials within a warehouse or distribution facility. This role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down (counterbalance) forklift to transport materials and products
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
- Move pallets to and from storage areas, racks, and staging zones
- Stack and organize inventory accurately and efficiently
- Perform routine equipment inspections (battery, fuel, tires, safety checks)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA-compliant) or willingness to obtain one
- Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Warehouse or distribution center setting
- May involve exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold environments)
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
