Graphic Designer - Print

Position Overview
Minuteman Press Miami / The Falls is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with strong print industry experience. This role is primarily focused on design and prepress, with customer service responsibilities as a secondary function. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced print environment, is attentive to detail, interacts with people and is confident managing projects from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Production (Primary Focus):

• Create original artwork based on customer specifications
• Modify and enhance customer-provided files
• Interact with customers in-person, via phone, email and website
• Prepare accurate, print-ready files (proper bleeds, trims, color settings, resolution)
• Ensure all files meet production standards for digital and offset printing and bindery
• Coordinate file submissions to outside vendors when needed
• Review proofs and ensure quality and accuracy prior to submission for client approval
• Assist with print production and bindery in a supporting role as needed

Customer Service:

• Assist customers in-person, via phone, email and via website inquiries as necessary
• Support quoting and job estimating
• Enter and manage orders within our proprietary system (training provided)

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of print-focused graphic design and prepress experience
• Prior print shop experience required
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro)
• Experience with digital printing equipment (Ricoh, Xante, Xerox, Konica – minimum 1 year)
• Familiarity with Fiery Command Workstation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail (both visual and written)
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Knowledge of wide-format printing
• Promotional products knowledge
• Spanish language skills
• Customer service or CSR experience
• Job estimating experience
• Proficiency with Canva
• Bindery and finishing experience
• Web design or social media experience

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
