Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Director of Adult, Community and Expanded Access Programs (Grades 9-14) beginning the 2026-2027 school year.Applicants for this position will be expected to lead with a strong focus on preparing participants for employment in the field of study upon program completion and employ strong presentation, organizational, and leadership skills to grow and strengthen programming.Major Responsibilities:
- Communicate with all aspects of the school community.
- Maintain positive relationships with school staff.
- Develop job descriptions, review and interview candidates, recommend candidates to the Superintendent-Director.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to develop, issue, and manage employment contracts for staff in the programs under their supervision.
- Assign and supervise Minuteman Technical Institute (MTI) and Career Technical Institute (CTI) staff.
- Conducts and completes teacher evaluations in accordance with district guidelines.
- Maintain required records for all programs.
- Oversee recruitment, outreach and admissions efforts to expand access programming for Minuteman High School and Minuteman Technical Institute.
- Write and submit grants as appropriate; write and submit required reports according to the established schedule.
- Support audit processes by collaborating with the Business Office and external auditors to prepare required financial and compliance documentation.
- Develop and manage budgets and financial records including monitoring program revenues and expenditures for programs under their supervision.
- Ensure all programs comply with federal, state and local regulations including grant requirements if applicable.
- Evaluate the need for and assist with providing student support.
- Collect, organize and present multiple data points clearly.
- Develop calendars, teaching and program schedules, student handbooks, student orientation.
- Develop, communicate and enforce program standards.
- Schedule, organize and facilitate MTI & CTI Certificate Ceremonies.
- Provide oversight and guidance to program staff regarding student attendance and accumulation of hours.
- Administer Career Technical Institute (CTI) programs including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, programming, hiring instructors, organizing outreach events, including at job fairs and high school visits, ensure compliance with standards as established by the District.
- Complete Veteran Affairs student enrollment data in a timely manner.
- Facilitate contracts with state and partner agencies.
- Maintain approval status with the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Department of Higher Education (Veterans Programs) and accreditation agencies as appropriate.
- Attend partner, employer, community and educational conferences, meeting and events as appropriate.
- Engage Enhanced Access partners on a consistent basis; interface with those partner teachers, administrators and parents as needed.
- Coordinate Enhanced Access interface between Minuteman and partner teachers.
- Provide career guidance to Enhanced Access students.
- Provide orientation and communicate program expectations, goals and program standards.
- Have a strong understanding of the requirements of the partner schools credit and graduation standards.
- Provide attendance and grade reports to partner schools as scheduled and on demand.
- Any additional duties as directed by the Superintendent-Director.
- The ideal candidate will hold and maintain a Vocational Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent and or Vocational Principal/Assistant Principal, 9-14 licensure with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
- 5 years recent work teaching or training experience with grades 9-14 as well as adult learners.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts Vocational Technical Curriculum Frameworks required.
- Experience with grant management, program development, business engagement, teacher evaluation, and career counseling preferred.
- Experience with student management information systems software.
- Experience with enrollment systems software.
- This position includes but is not limited to: walking around the school, observing students while they work in their program areas, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.
