Traffic Control Technician

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Traffic Control Technician to help maintain safe and organized traffic flow around construction, roadwork, and utility work zones. This position plays an important role in protecting workers, motorists, pedestrians, and the general public.

Weekly pay at $19 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely through or around active work zones.
• Use flags, hand signals, cones, signs, and other traffic control devices according to established procedures.
• Follow traffic control plans and all company and jobsite safety requirements.
• Remain alert and aware of changing traffic patterns, equipment movement, workers, and pedestrians.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, supervisors, motorists, and the public.
• Assist with setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control signs and equipment as needed.
• Identify potential safety concerns and report hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow instructions carefully and respond quickly when worksite or traffic conditions change.
• Maintain a professional attitude while working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
• Make safety the top priority at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned jobsites.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to remain focused and attentive for extended periods.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Must be comfortable working around moving vehicles, construction equipment, and active work zones.
