The Production Operator would ensure the safe and efficient operation of designated Plastics Injection Mold Machinery while producing finished product in accordance with quality standards.
This position encompasses the following:
Role and Responsibilities
- Required to operate assigned plastic injection/blow mold machinery
- Will be required to read and understand documents.
- Keep Supervisor informed of press operations
- Lift/stack parts according to customer requirements
- Responsible for verifying the accuracy of all completed work.
- Monitor part quality – responsible for bringing any quality issues to their supervisor.
- Clean machinery and area around machines as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Expectations
- Ability to stand 8 or more hours continuously
- Ability to bend and stoop frequently for 8 or more hours
- The plant environment may be warm to hot due to the machinery. The plant is air conditioned, but temperatures may vary.
- Able to deal with chemical smells on occasion. The plant does have an exhaust evacuation system to help limit the smell.
- Detail oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Must be able to keep up with machine cycle, which can range from 40 seconds to 120 seconds.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to learn and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of repetitious work.
- Must understand and comply with company rules and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation standards, and check sheets.
- Must be able to work well with others in a “team” environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand and eye coordination.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
