JOB TITLE: CAD System Operator

REPORTS TO: Senior CAD System Operator

JOB SUMMARY: The CAD System Operator's primary responsibility is to work with the plant manager and production team to produce accurate and precise drawings that will serve as blueprints for manufacturing Superior Walls products. These drawings will ensure that the designs are feasible, functional, and meet all necessary standards and regulations. 

Key performance objectives are:        

• Understand industry and client build standards and specifications. 
• Effectively communicate with the production team for the accuracy of designs needed.
• Coordinate and plan when drawings are needed for timely production.
• Be familiar with Superior Walls products and designs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Using CAD software to produce 2D and 3D drawings, including technical plans, schematics, and models for customers, production, and installation crews. 
• Maintaining organized and up-to-date electronic files, databases, and documentation related to design projects. 
• Perform quality checks on completed designs to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. 
• Communicate with the Plant Manager to identify job layout patterns and panel locations. 
• Stay up to date with the latest industry standards. 
• Be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person, and be able to exchange accurate information with others. 
• Make a foundation model drawing using Superior Walls to create a drawing that will allow the customer to visualize their foundation. 
• Ensure all programs stay updated and troubleshoot any design issues. 
• KOI Superior Walls’ ultimate success is the responsibility of all employees, and we must be open to helping accomplish this. This may include wearing many different “hats” and taking on tasks assigned to you that are outside your general scope of work.

• Be adaptable and open to change. As we are starting up as a new authorized agent of Superior Walls, there will be many moving parts and adjustments as we figure out the company way. 

EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have or be working towards the following qualifications: 

• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software. 
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
• Good verbal and written communication skills working with all team members across all functions. 
• Flexibility with working hours. 
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
