Weekly pay at $15 per hour.

Available Shifts:

3pm – 11pm, Monday – Friday

11pm – 7am, Monday – Friday

7am – 3pm, Saturday & Sunday

3pm – 11pm, Saturday & Sunday

11pm – 7am, Saturday & Sunday

Job Duties:

• Maintain continuous observation of the designated fire watch area as assigned.
• Remain in the assigned area and do not leave the area unattended unless properly relieved by another designated
• building monitor employee.
• Monitor the area for smoke, fire, unusual Odors, sparks, or other conditions that could indicate a fire hazard,
• Immediately report any signs of fire, smoke, odor, or other emergency conditions according to facility emergency
• procedures.
• Maintain a working phone, radio, or Other required means of communication while performing building monitoring
• duties.
• Know the location of fire extinguishers, fire alarm pull stations, emergency exits, and evacuation routes in the
• assigned area.
• Report blocked or inaccessible exits, fire extinguishers, fire alarm equipment, or emergency routes to the appropriate
• supervisor immediately.
• Identify and report potential fire hazards, including improper storage of combustible materials, electrical hazards,
• space heaters, smoking materials, chemicals, or other unsafe conditions
• Maintain a clear and unobstructed View Of assigned areas whenever possible.
• Follow all facility fire safety policies, emergency procedures, and instructions from the Maintenance Director or
• supervisor.
• Document fire watch rounds, observations, and any concerns as required by facility policy.
• Immediately notify the appropriate supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or supervisor.
• Other duties may be assigned

Specific Requirements:

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Must be able to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned building monitor shift.
• Must be able to continuously monitor the assigned area and recognize potential fire hazards.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with supervisors and emergency personnel.
• Ability to report problems that arise in a prompt and professional manner.
• Must use safe work practices and follow all facility policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with residents, guests, and the public in a thoughtful, diplomatic, and tactful manner.
• Must use safe work practices by following policies and procedures.
• Must maintain a neat appearance.
• Must be dependable and able to report to work on time for assigned building monitoring duties.

Experience:

• Experience in health care accounting preferred but not required.

Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

• Must be able to cope with the mental, emotional and physical stress of the position.
• Must successfully pass a Criminal History check in accordance with the laws of this state.
• Must successfully pass a drug screen and/or physical examination if requested.
