What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Service Specialist position at Minute Men, Inc?
Position Summary
The Claims Service Specialist overall objective is to process non-complex, non-technical claims related activities directed by Claims Manager. You will handle every step from data entry, to filing reports and mail support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Sorting and routing incoming and outgoing departmental mail and faxes.
- Assistance with training of new and/or current employees as deemed necessary by the Vice President of Risk Management.
- Submitting IME requests.
- Preparing, mailing, logging and scanning of general correspondence.
- Preparing, filing and logging request for continuance and/or cancellations relative to scheduled IC hearings.
- Filing Notice of Appeals/Objections/Reconsiderations and logging.
- Generating vouchers and checks as well as sending check register to clientele for approval.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
