Position: Maintenance Specialist - 2nd Shift
Location: Frankfort, KY
Duration: Full Time/Permanent
Salary: $35.00 - $37.00 /hour
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checks the operation of machines and trouble-shoots electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, equipment and automation problems.
- Performs complex preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various tools and equipment
- Trouble-shoots electrical and electronic controls on manufacturing equipment for rebuilding, repairing or fabricating purposes.
- Diagnoses and resolves PLC issues
- Performs major building electrical, construction and security equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Understands and interprets electronic schematics for trouble-shooting electronic equipment with minimal assistance.
- Documents all machine preventative, predictive and/or maintenance repairs clearly and concisely for historical and future maintenance purposes.
- Follow safety regulations and adhering to OSHA standards.
- Ability to operate forklifts
- Performs minor repairs on electronic circuit boards/control panels which control the automation of manufacturing equipment
Qualifications, Skills, Experience:
- High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment - automotive exp. highly preferred
- Advance knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic processes and repair methods/techniques.
- Must understand PLC ladder logic and text-based logic programs within control systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Intermediate to advance skills in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and/or blueprints.
- Ability to read safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to prioritize work orders while meeting deadlines to minimize production downtime.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) System.
Certificates and/or Licenses:
- PLC Technician Certificate, a plus.
- Forklift Certifications, a plus.
